Introduction:
QuickRadiosity is a LightWave plug-in for quickly setting up fast rendering radiosity in a scene.
It is free for non commercial use.

QuickRadiosity is a follow up of LightSetup.
It can stay open while you do other stuff in LightWave, it changes the parameters in real time, and you have many more controls.

It is split into three different sections by tabs:
  • Environment - The environment that will be the light projected in the scene.
  • Lights - The different kinds of light intensities and parameters.
  • File - Save and load your settings.
QuickRadiosity also changes the cameras antialiasing mode to Enhanced low.

Notice: Some settings will soon be ready for download.
I am accepting user settings too and credit will be given where credit is due.
Please don't send settings with images.

Using it:
To install: Copy the file "QuickRadiosity.lsc" or the directory "QuickRadiosity" to LightWaves plug-in folder, In Layout go to Layout>>Plug-ins>>Add Plug-ins... and choose the plug-in file "QuickRadiosity.lsc".

To use it: Under the Scene tab choose "Master Plug-ins", and then from the drop down menu choose "QuickRadiosity".


Environment:
You have the choice of three environments: solid color, gradient, or image.

The solid color uses LightWaves backdrop color.

The gradient uses LightWaves gradient.

The image uses LightWaves image world.
you need to load an image using the image editor before you can choose an image.
It is advised to use either panorama pictures or just plain junk images.












Lights:
Light intensity controls all the lights intensities.

Ambient intensity controls the ambient light intensity, it is advised to put it very low or zero.

Radiosity intensity controls the radiosity brightness.

Ray trace shadows toggles the raytrace shadows option.

Ambient color controls the ambient light color.













File:
With Save as you can save all your settings to a *.txt file.

With Load you can load previously saved settings.

It will soon be possible to download some settings.
